The Telemark Nordic Tour of Canaan Valley is a three day multi-discipline event that will highlight the charm and diversity of Canaan Valley, WV. During the event participants will spend one day at Timberline Mountain, Whitegrass Touring Center, and Canaan Valley Ski Resort. The event will begin at Timberline on telemark equipment. On day two participants will explore the backcountry in lightweight gear at White Grass. Including a dinner and fun at the Whitegrass pub (additional fee to cover food ). On day three the group will return to Telemark gear and ski at Canaan Valley. The three-day multi-discipline event will provide participants with the opportunity to hone both on-piste, off-piste, and backcountry techniques while we explore the best the Valley has to offer. The event is open to all levels, no experience is required. Participants must bring or rent their own Telemark and backcountry equipment.
This event also offers the opportunity to obtain a Telemark Level I certification. Any participant pursuing certification must complete the online Professional Knowledge Exam prior to registering for the event.
