Be ready to hike, tour and climb. Our goal is to find the best snow and trees somewhere on or near the surrounding mountain environment. There are always two groups to take care of the pacing needs. Safety and endurance are strictly adhered to in these clinics; at times, suggestions will be made for your enjoyment. A great way to improve your off-piste skiing performance! Normally, this clinic is more of an experiential learning environment as opposed to a task-teaching environment. The advanced group will be looking to find the best spots all day. Your skis could be in some rough places so come with the attitude that they are merely a replaceable tool (that is a disclaimer if the snow is low). Must be proficient to hike and get down black terrain on Telemark gear.
If you will be pursuing Telemark Level I Certification, please be sure to complete the online professional knowledge exam prior to the on snow evaluation. The Telemark Level I Professional Knowledge Exam is available on the National eLearning website under “Exams” and “Eastern Division” scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Telemark Level I Professional Knowledge Exam.
