The Spring Rally is our annual celebration of the welcoming of spring. The vibe is fun, but you’ll also get some tips on technique and a couple of nuggets on tactics that will add enjoyment to your days on the mountain, and also plant some ideas to help you with your students in the years to come.
The Alpine and Snowboard groups will be split by how hot and spicy you want your experience to be. You want it extra hot? We’ve got that. You want it mild and mellow? We’ve got that too, and everything in between.
Saturday will be capped off with an après Party in the lodge, just to get your evening festivities off to a good start!

Hot Salsa: The Hot Salsa group is for people who want to get in the most skiing on the most difficult and advanced terrain, with a fast pace designed to maximize fun and vertical feet.  If you choose to ski with the hot salsa group, you should expect to get maximum mileage on the mountain with fewer instructional sessions and teaching segments occurring.  The hot salsa groups are here for mileage and experiencing the mountain.  As such, these groups typically ski from 9:00 to 4:00 with a few quick stops for bathroom breaks and a 30-45 minute break for lunch.  Moguls, if available, will certainly be explored in this group.  Join the hot salsa group if you’re feeling spicy and want to maximize your vertical feet while you explore some of the hardest terrain that our host has to offer.

Medium Salsa: Medium salsa is for members looking to explore the entire mountain over the two days, but they will gradually ramp up the difficulty and the pacing throughout the event.  Don’t expect to start the day on the hardest run the mountain has to offer, but plan on taking a look and having the options to do so during the time that you ski together.  The clinicians will mix in a blend of ski instruction and opportunities for personal skiing improvement as you explore the mountain together.  Medium salsa is for those of you that feel comfortable pushing your skiing in the intermediate and advanced zones of the mountain, but you’re looking for some opportunities to improve your confidence and technique in those zones.  Plan on working on tactics and techniques that will build skills for groomed runs, steeps, and moguls.

Mild Salsa: Mild salsa is for members looking for personal skiing improvement and instruction as you explore the intermediate and perhaps some of the advanced terrain on the mountain over the course of the event.  Mild salsa will spend time building up the skills necessary to ski more difficult, varied, and possibly ungroomed terrain.  If you spend most of your time skiing blue terrain and occasionally some easier black terrain, then this group is for you.  The clinicians are here to help you improve your skiing, feel confident, and explore the mountain.  Expect opportunities where the clinicians will offer instructional sessions and teaching segments to help the group members boost their skills!

I think I’ll Have Some Chips Without Salsa: This group is for those who haven’t skied more than once or twice this winter, if at all.  The group will start on Green terrain (if available) or easier Blue terrain, and progress at the pace of the group members.  This group(s) may take a few breaks during the day, or the participants  may take breaks on their own, depending on the stamina of the individual members.

Hot Salsa: These are people that want to get in the most riding on the most difficult and advanced terrain over the two days with a fast pace down the mountain to maximize fun and vertical feet. This group is not for the faint of heart. You need to be extremely comfortable on Expert terrain. If you want to be riding with the hot salsa group, you should expect to get maximum mileage on the mountain with fewer instructional sessions and teaching segments occurring. The hot salsa groups are here for mileage and experiencing the mountain. As such, these groups typically ride from first chair to last chair with a few quick stops for bathroom breaks and usually only a 30-minute break for lunch. Moguls and tree terrain, if available, are most certainly going to be explored in this group. Join the hot salsa group if you’re feeling spicy and want to maximize your vertical feet and your exploration of the hardest terrain that we have available.

The clinicians will mix in a blend of riding instruction and opportunities for personal riding improvement as you explore the mountain together. Medium salsa is for those of you that feel comfortable pushing your riding in the intermediate and advanced zones of the mountain, but you’re looking for some opportunities to improve your confidence and technique in those zones. Plan on working on tactics and techniques that will build skills for groomed runs, bumps and moguls, and tree sections available on the mountain.
