Adaptive FUNdamentals of Adapting for Neurodiverse Athletes

Description:

How can we use trust, play, and adaptive strategy to unlock learning for neurodiverse athletes? This immersive clinic blends indoor and on-snow learning to help multi-discipline adaptive instructors (Alpine, Snowboard, and Telemark) effectively coach athletes with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other cognitive differences. Participants will explore People, Teaching, and Technical Fundamentals from the Learning Connection Model while aligning with Adaptive Cognitive Specialist Learning Outcomes at Level I and above. Through developmental theory, inclusive communication, and creative terrain use, participants will gain strategies to build confidence, engagement, and skill progression for diverse learners.

Adaptive instruction experience is recommended.
