Experience the biggest PSIA-AASI event in the East, if not the country!
The Alpine Level II Teaching College is designed to help put the finishing touches on the participant’s readiness for assessment. Through on-hill practice, peer-to-peer activities, teaching scenarios and group discussions, become familiar with the format, assessment criteria and activities prior to completing a Level II Teaching Assessment later in the week. Participants can expect the following format:
- Day 1-4: Participants are led through on-snow, educational content by an Eastern Education Staff member to support their readiness for a Level II Teaching Assessment.
- Day 5: Participants take part in a Level II Teaching Assessment with two scoring Examiners.
Participants should arrive prepared to be on snow for five days and able to ski safely on all Level II skiing appropriate terrain.
Participants must complete the online Professional Knowledge Exam and a Children’s Specialist 1 prior to attending the event. For more information about the Certification Standards, Performance Guide, and Assessment Forms, go to the PSIA-AASI Certification Resources.
On-snow activities are complemented by social happenings, including a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party on Thursday, indoor presentations and more.
