Help Us Build a More Accessible Eastern Region
PSIA-AASI Eastern is seeking an Accessibility & Accommodations Coordinator to help strengthen how we support members with disabilities and incorporate accessibility into our educational programs and event planning.
This is a new, limited part-time position with an opportunity to help shape Eastern’s accessibility efforts from the ground up. During the first year, the Coordinator will work with Eastern staff and education leadership to support accommodation requests, review and improve our existing processes, build relationships with host resorts and begin developing accessibility information for the locations where we hold events.
We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, organized and passionate about creating opportunities for people to fully participate in snowsports education. Experience with adaptive snowsports, accessibility, disability accommodations or related work is valuable, but we’re also interested in candidates who bring strong communication skills, good judgment and a willingness to learn.
The position provides approximately $3,000 in annual compensation for about 100 hours of work per year. During this initial six-month implementation period, we anticipate approximately four hours per week.
