Membership Agreement Requirements

PSIA-AASI maintains members’ records, but members are ultimately responsible for keeping their contact information current. This includes updating any changes in email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses.

Members also agree to accept communication from PSIA-AASI, including emails, phone calls, and texts. Communications may include event registration information, critical membership updates, and payment confirmations. Expired membership records are retained for ten years.

Certain personal information may be shared with third parties for the purpose of providing member benefits, confirming membership and certification status, monitoring event registrations, maintaining school rosters, confirming school affiliation(s), and conducting research. The information shared may include name, school affiliation(s), membership status, certification, and education/assessment information.

How long we retain your data

Membership records are retained according to the PSIA-AASI Membership Agreement — active member records for the duration of membership, and expired membership records for ten years.

Form submissions (such as contact or SMS sign-up forms) are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request or deliver the service you signed up for.

Analytics data collected through cookies is retained according to the settings described in our Cookie Policy.

What rights you have over your data

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we delete it. See our Cookie Policy page for how to manage your data and submit a request. This does not include data we’re required to keep for administrative, legal, or membership record purposes under the PSIA-AASI Membership Agreement. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

We share data only as needed to operate:

PSIA-AASI National — shared membership record system, and payment processing for renewals/registrations via the member portal
RingCentral — to deliver the text messages you’ve opted into
Mailchimp — to deliver newsletters and member email communications
