PSIA-AASI 2026-27 Membership Agreement
As a dual member of the American Snowsports Education Association, Inc. (d/b/a PSIA-AASI) and your applicable Region(s), you are part of a community of dedicated snowsports professionals committed to excellence, education, and ethical conduct.
- Acceptance of Code of Conduct, Policies & Bylaws
By becoming a member of PSIA-AASI, you agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct, Policies, Bylaws and this Member Agreement. The Code of Conduct outlines the ethical and professional standards expected of all members, including but not limited to integrity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Failure to affirmatively accept this Member Agreement, including any attempt to bypass or circumvent the acceptance process, will result in immediate termination of membership.
- Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct or Policies may result in disciplinary action against you, including potential suspension or termination of your membership.
- Commitment to Continuing Education Requirements As part of our commitment to professional development, all certified members are required to fulfill Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as specified by PSIA-AASI. Members who do not maintain their CEUs will not be considered Active Certified Members. Registered, Alumni, Lifetime, and all non-certified members are not required to fulfill Continuing Education. Members who may be affected by event cancellations can access a variety of online courses and webinars to meet their CEU needs. Extensions, or waivers may be granted. Please see your regional website for details.
- Priority to Active Professionals PSIA-AASI prioritizes members who are actively instructing and currently employed or volunteering at a snowsports school. While we value all our members, Associate Members (registered and certified members who are not currently and have never previously been employed by a snowsports school as a snowsports instructor or volunteer) may be moved from events and/or waitlists to accommodate those who are actively teaching. Please note that PSIA-AASI is not responsible for travel or lodging commitments made by members.
- Maintenance of Records PSIA-AASI maintains members’ records, but members are ultimately responsible for keeping their contact information current. This includes updating any changes in email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses.
- Communications Members agree to accept communication from PSIA-AASI, including emails, phone calls, and texts. Communications may include event registration information, critical membership updates, and payment confirmations. Expired membership records are retained for ten years.
- Payment Policies
Members are responsible for ensuring that all membership dues and fees are paid in a timely manner. The member cycle runs from July 1 to June 30 regardless of join date and membership dues are non-refundable. The following policies apply to declined payments, and unpaid invoices:
- Declined Payments: If a dues payment is declined, the member will be notified and must provide an alternative payment method within 10 business days. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of membership benefits. If a waitlisted event payment is declined, you will receive an automatic notification and must provide an alternative payment method immediately.
- Unpaid Invoices: Any unpaid invoices must be settled within 30 days of the invoice date. Members with outstanding invoices may face suspension of membership benefits until the balance is paid in full.
- Chargebacks and Payment Disputes: Initiating a chargeback or dispute for any event or service already attended or used is a violation of this Agreement and will result in termination of membership.
- Data Collection and Sharing By becoming a member, you agree certain personal information may be shared with third parties for the purpose of providing member benefits, confirming membership and certification status, monitoring event registrations, maintaining school rosters, confirming school affiliation(s), and conducting research. The information shared may include name, school affiliation(s), membership status, certification, and education/assessment information.
- PSIA-AASI Trademarks and Logos As a member of PSIA-AASI, you are permitted to utilize its trademarks and logos in accordance with its guidelines. Upon termination of your membership, you agree to stop using all PSIA-AASI logos and trademarks.
- Reinstatement Policy Members who have let their memberships lapse may apply for PSIA-AASI Reinstatement.
- Agreement and Acceptance When signed, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms outlined in this Membership Agreement. Your commitment to these standards helps maintain the integrity and excellence of our professional community.
