Course Description:
Biomechanics looks at cause-and-effect relationships between body movements and ski/board performance. In this indoor course, we’ll use knowledge of the needed manipulations of a snowboard or skis against a snow surface to, first, identify efficient use of joints and muscles in our bodies to effect the ski/board. With this basis, we’ll actively explore a range of dryland, gym and at-home activities which can serve to prepare muscles, joints and our proprioception system for the upcoming snow season.
