“Alpine Technical Manual” (Chapter 7: “Developing technical Content”), “Teaching Snowsports”, fitness adequate for two full days of skiing advanced terrain
Committed to becoming the best coach you can be? Want to dig deeper into the art of coaching? Focused on the advanced student, this course is geared towards professionals who coach advanced snow sports enthusiasts and/or the staff at their home mountain. Discover new training and coaching details, trade methods for success, refine your abilities to customize your lesson to the individual students at a higher level. Through activities that may include observations of the general public, peer-to-peer activities, and video analysis, you’ll practice planning and implementing technical content for coaching sessions tailored to your advanced student(s). Possible performance changes will be highlighted to enhance the understanding of exercise modifications to meet the expectations and needs of upper-level students.
