Course Description:
Course Name: Early Season Primer

Prerequisites: Open to all members and non-members
Course Description:
Teaching methodologies, strategies, description/prescription for movement analysis, along with the best teaching activity for the level of student will be reviewed and practiced by all. Progressions for beginners and intermediates as well as some personal feedback for your early season skiing skills will be included. This event is guided by the group’s topics and questions. Must be able to tele on blue square terrain.
Learning Experiences:
Specific activities will vary depending on the group and environmental conditions; however, they will typically include:
• Identify and understand the skills that make up the Skills Concept model
• Recognize how the skills relate to each other and their dependence upon balance for effective execution
• Understand the body movement and ski-performance outcomes specific to each skill
• Understand how balance is both a source for, and a result of, effective and efficient movement.
If you will be pursuing Telemark Level I Certification, please be sure to complete the online professional knowledge exam prior to the on snow evaluation. The Telemark Level I Professional Knowledge Exam is available on the National eLearning website under “Exams” and “Eastern Division” scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Telemark Level I Professional Knowledge Exam. IF YOU NEED TO TRANSFER or CANCEL: please call (518) 452-6095.
Up to 3 weeks prior to the event start: Full refund of the cost of your event registration.
Less than 3 weeks prior to the event start: 50% refund of the cost of your event registration.
Less than one week prior to the start date and time of your event, event registrations are non-refundable.
Note: Certain premier regional and national events follow a cancellation policy different from the standard cancellation policy outlined above. Please refer to those events directly for the applicable event cancellation policies.
IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL or TRANSFER from an EVENT that is 4 or more days:
> Up to 21 days prior to the event: $20.00 fee < During the three weeks prior to the event: 50% of event fee paid
