Course Description:
Celebrate 30 years of AASI by reconnecting with the people, progression, and passion that have shaped snowboard instruction. This special anniversary event is an opportunity to honor our roots, deepen professional development and celebrate our community.
Spend the day riding with fellow members and Education Staff in a collaborative environment focused on personal riding, shared experiences, and plenty of fun. Groups will explore individual goals while making the most of the terrain and conditions available. Whether you’ve been part of AASI for decades or are newer to the community, come celebrate where we’ve been–and keep progressing together.
Special anniversary pricing will be available for longtime members: 30+ year members receive 30% off event registration, 20+ year members receive 20% off, and 10+ year members receive 10% off. A few additional surprises will be in store for everyone attending!
Learning Experiences:
Specific activities will vary depending on the group’s needs, goals, and environmental conditions and typically include:
• Personal riding development across available terrain and conditions
• Individualized coaching and feedback based on participant goals
• Exploring tactics and movement options to develop versatility and expand riding performance
• Collaborative riding, reflection, and discussion with fellow snowboard educators
• Opportunities to share experiences and perspectives from across AASI’s history
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, successful participants will be able to:
• Identify strengths and opportunities for continued development in their personal riding
• Apply feedback and new movement or tactical options to enhance personal riding performance
• Demonstrate increased versatility by experimenting with different approaches to terrain, conditions, and riding outcomes
• Reflect on personal growth and shared experiences within the snowboard education community

Equipment/Materials Needed:
Personal snowboard equipment suitable for all-mountain green, blue and entry level black terrain.
CANCEL/TRANSFER/NO SHOW POLICY FOR EASTERN EVENTS:

To transfer your registration to a different event, please cancel this registration and register for the new event.
If you need to cancel from an Eastern event:
- Up to 3 weeks prior to the event start: Full refund of the cost of your event registration.
- Less than 3 weeks prior to the event start: 50% refund of the cost of your event registration.
- Less than one week prior to the start date and time of your event, event registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Certain premier regional and national events follow a cancellation policy different from the standard cancellation policy outlined above. Please refer to those events directly for the applicable event cancellation policies.
If you need to cancel an Eastern premier event (an event that is 4 or more days):
- Email or call us at (518) 452-6095, as member portal cancelation is not available for premier events.
- Up to 3 weeks prior to the event start: Full refund of the cost of your event registration.
- Less than 3 weeks prior to the event start: 50% refund of the cost of your event registration.
- IF YOU DO NOT SHOW AT EVENT REGISTRATION AND DO NOT CONTACT US by 4:30pm on last business day before the event: No refund.
Please note that no refunds will be issued for events once attended. We encourage members to review event details carefully before registering to ensure a satisfactory experience. Extenuating circumstances (medical or bereavement) will be considered for a refund if notification is given at the earliest opportunity, and the request is received within one week after the start of the event.
Our goal is to ensure all events run as scheduled; however, there are times, with very little notice, that we may have to cancel or move an event due to factors beyond our control. We encourage you to consider this possibility when making travel plans.
