Course Description:
Get ready for summer cross-training with the Rollerblade Skate to Ski program! Join us for a half-day session which includes a demo van full of inline skates. Explore the Skate to Ski program at your own pace with a variety of activities, learning aids, and obstacle courses to enhance your skills and the fun factor of training for ski-readiness. This event is a great opportunity for beginner to advanced inline skaters to discover how adding a summer of inline skating will hone your accurate and relevant skill focus. The half-day session pairs heaps of repetition in a consistent environment with quality feedback focusing on stable gliding and turning. Most skating will happen on a flat paved surface, with the option for using a slight grade to link turns. Open to members and non-members.

Participants must complete the Rollerblade Info and Waiver form before participating in the event. This information is needed to ensure proper size skates are available. For the “event attending” field, please enter Mount Van Hoevenberg 08/08/23 AM or Mount Van Hoevenberg 08/08/23 PM.

What to Bring/Details:
· Rollerblade provides inline skates and protective pads if needed. We highly recommend purchasing your skates and using them to improve your personal development after the course.
· Please bring your skates if you have them. We recommend bringing your own chair for putting on skates.
· You will need to provide your own helmet (mandatory), and we encourage wearing protective pads.
Participants can pace their time according to their fitness levels; we encourage bringing snacks, beverages, and a chair for breaks.
