PSIA-AASI Eastern Professional Training & Consulting

PSIA-AASI Eastern offers customized professional training and consulting services to snowsports schools, resorts, industry organizations, and other approved partners seeking the expertise of Eastern education staff.

These engagements provide organizations with access to highly qualified snowsports educators for training designed around the organization’s specific goals, staff, and professional development needs.

Professional Training & Consulting is contracted by the organization rather than individual participants. The organization works with Eastern to identify the objectives of the engagement, and Eastern identifies the appropriate education staff to deliver the program.

Services

Professional Training & Consulting engagements may include customized instructor, coach, or trainer development; technical and educational clinics; and other customized training appropriate to the expertise of PSIA-AASI Eastern education staff.

The scope and objectives of each engagement are established in advance between Eastern and the contracting organization.

Pricing

• One-Day Engagement: $1,100 per day, per Eastern education staff member, plus applicable travel and lodging expenses.
• Multi-Day Engagement: $1,000 per day, per Eastern education staff member, for two or more consecutive days of the same engagement, plus applicable travel and lodging expenses.
• Mileage is billed at Eastern’s current reimbursement rate. Lodging and other necessary travel expenses are billed at cost or may be provided directly by the contracting organization when agreed upon in advance.

The Value of an Eastern Engagement

Organizations receive customized access to highly qualified Eastern education professionals, supported by the training, educational resources, organizational infrastructure, and quality standards of PSIA-AASI Eastern. Each engagement is designed around the organization’s specific goals and professional development needs. These services are intended to complement Eastern’s regular member education and certification programs, not replace them.

Continuing Education Credit

Professional Training & Consulting engagements do not automatically award PSIA-AASI Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Individual members who participate in these engagements may apply for CEUs through the PSIA-AASI Eastern Outside Credit Policy. Outside Credit is subject to the eligibility requirements, application procedures, and limitations outlined in that policy. Approval is not guaranteed, and individual members are responsible for submitting their own applications.

 Program Parameters

• Engagements must be requested and contracted by a snowsports school, resort, industry organization, or other organization approved by PSIA-AASI Eastern. Individual members cannot independently contract for these services through this program.
• The contracting organization is responsible for securing any required permission from the ski area, resort, or facility where the engagement will take place.
• PSIA-AASI Eastern determines the appropriate education staff assignment based on the requested services, qualifications needed, staff availability, and other operational considerations. Specific staff members may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
• The contracting organization is responsible for determining and managing participation. Eastern does not register individual participants. Appropriate group size and the number of Eastern education staff required will be determined based on the objectives, content, and format of the engagement.
• These engagements do not constitute PSIA-AASI certification, credentialing, or assessment activities unless separately authorized and administered by Eastern as an official program.
• Eastern education staff participating in these engagements are assigned and compensated by PSIA-AASI Eastern and should not be compensated directly by the contracting organization.
• The contracting organization will be invoiced by PSIA-AASI Eastern, with payment required in full prior to the engagement.
• All engagements are subject to Eastern approval and staff availability.
