Eastern Area Reps

The PSIA-AASI Eastern Division Area Representative Program, started during the 1998-99 season under the leadership of Joan Heaton, is designed to improve the lines of communication between the membership and the PSIA-AASI Eastern office in Albany.

The role of an Area Representative is to disseminate information from the PSIA-AASI Eastern office in a timely, prominent, and accurate way to fellow snowsports instructors. The Area Rep will also field and gather questions about PSIA-AASI Eastern from their staff members and relay that information to the appropriate Chairpersons or Coordinators for responses. Area Representatives will be able to submit questions, ideas, suggestions, and recommendations received from fellow instructors to the Area Rep Coordinator who will present a summary of that information to the organization’s leaders.

AREA REPS ARE:

• A source of up-to-date information about PSIA-AASI Eastern activities.
• A conduit for relaying questions, concerns, ideas, and suggestions to the coordinator.

The 4 defined election zones of the Eastern Region are as follows:
Zone 1: Northern New England (NH, ME, VT)
Zone 2: Southern New England (CT, MA, RI)
Zone 3: Mid-Atlantic (NY, NJ, PA)
Zone 4: South (MD, VA, WV, DE, NC)
