What if I had a medical reason as to why I was unable to participate in an educational event on snow?

If you are not able to physically attend an event for a medical reason in the season that you are due, you can avoid prepaying for an event by requesting a medical waiver. Please ask your doctor to fill out this Medical Waiver form or write a note stating that you are unable to fulfill your on-snow requirements in this season and send that to us via fax at (518) 452-6099, or e-mail (psia-e@psia-e.org). We will then grant you a medical waiver for that season, and you would not be charged the Education Prepayment fee on the next membership renewal. You would then be required to take your event the following season to maintain your active membership status.

As an active Certified member, if you do not obtain your continuing education credit in the season you are due:

  • You’ll see an Education Prepayment fee on your membership dues renewal statement.
  • The Education Prepayment fee will be applied in its entirety toward your qualifying event in the coming season. Qualifying events are PSIA-AASI Eastern events which award CEU credits open successful completion. Qualifying events can be on-snow or online.
  • You’ll be required to make up your missed education credits.
